Sony's Mylo -- can a gadget make them matter again?

Sony is counting on Wi-Fi to make it hip again. A portable gizmo introduced by the electronics giant this month represents a big bet on the wireless networking standard. The device, dubbed Mylo, allows users to surf the web, exchange instant messages with friends, and place Internet voice calls over Wi-Fi connections.

I can't log in to myspace tonight. No checking messages or for new comments for me. Their servers must be overwhelmed on a Friday Night. It's popularity is still growing by leads and bounds. It is after all, the coolest thing on the internet thats not google.

Without aggreeing with the president's remarks, I appreciate the delicacy of the situation and the need to be diplomatic - something our president is actually doing here for a change.
